I understand your frustrations with the new style system, S2. Several
other users have expressed their concerns with the customized comment
pages. Developers have been informed of this concern and an option to
view all comments pages in a default style may be implemented. However,
there is no timeframe as to when this option would be implemented.
In the meantime, you may wish to append ?s2id=1 to the URL whenever the
comments pages uses the customized style. While this won't make the
page appear in the default style, the page will appear in a less
resource-intensive style.
