You write realistic sex scenes. Wet spot and all.
What kind of sex scene do you write?

brought to you by Quizilla

I sort of suspected this. Even though I've slashed a soft toy. But ever since being told about my "gritty realism" by sundry people, I've become quite pleased by that.

And if you don't stop me soon, I will start quoting Roland Barthes again, this time on the "reality effect"... *g*

*off to write some realistic (??) Desert Prince*

That's what I loved so much about The Other Trailer. And now I find out you don't even like Viggorli! How can this be???

Strangely, I stole some lines from a Roland Barthes chapter on wrestling and used them in a fic. I wish I could remember which fic.

I replied to this at length and because of my LJ posting troubles at the moment, it all got eaten!

So here goes again, this time in chunks.

The story behind Other Trailer: This was a birthday fic for [livejournal.com profile] viva_gloria who was, at that time, a rabid Viggorli gal. So I sighed and got down to it. I did have this bunny left over from writing A Helping Hand so I tried to developed it but it was hard! I found writing these two very tricky and the way I managed to do it in the end was 1) by humour and 2) through first person pov Viggo. Because, bizarrely, I find Viggo very easy to write. I can crawl into his head with no problems.

Then there was the headache of fitting the story into the already existing characterisation and plot of the Perfect Day saga but that ended up being quite helpful because Orli was already characterised, as it were, and having Viggo as 1st person allowed me to get a different spin on Orli. Because Viggo sees the same Perfect-Day Orli in a completely different way from how Perfect-Day Dom sees him. So the fic says something about Dorli as well.

*phew* End of explanation. Heh. Anyway, [livejournal.com profile] badgermonkey who hates Viggorli even more than I do, wrote one of the best Viggorli fics around. Resistance to a pairing can sometimes bring out fantastic writing!
