The thing about Bollywood movies is that they are one of the few things that make me remember the allures of het. They are so gloriously, OTT het, and the women are so wonderfully, glamorously out there. And there's no kissing but there is so much sensual looking and sexual touching and leaning, all in soft-focus with glittery lights in the eyes while the music surges and the tears flow freely.

They are the slash of het.

(This does not make sense to me but it sounds good and sort of expresses what I feel in my gut about this: swoony.)

Actually that makes perfectsense to me. You expressed it very well, and I have never even seen a Bollywood movie.I am crazy about the music though. Alka Yagnik and Umar Khan, yep. Love it.

Ack, who are these people? I need to know!

The thirdy-worldy frustration extends to things such as CDs of the soundtracks: they do not exist! *tears hair in frustration*

I have to stick the DVD into the player and turn the TV up full volume so I can hear it in other parts of the house, and then run back at the end of every song to choose the next one. But I want to listen to this all the time and without rewinding!

*wails*
