velvet wibble

I have been reduced to a wibbling mass after my second viewing of Velvet Goldmine. Third one coming up tonight because (can you believe it?) t'h *fell asleep* half-way through.

I am also now re-living my glamfan days via copious playing of David Bowie CD. Because I discovered a long-lost memory! I have always been aghast and puzzled at my own descent into fandom. I thought it was just a bizarre side-effect of the slash but this morning I remembered (spurred on by the sight of Ewan McGregor without a top on) that in the dim dark past I have been a fan!

And I was going to muse critically and analytically and postmodernitically (and oh so very cathectedly) on VG but this post is long enough already so I'll leave that for another time.

Except that in a bizarre way VG reminds me of Bollywood. Maybe simply because I haven't felt this swoonsome about a movie since Kuch Kuch Hota Hai.
