bollywood meets lotr the slashy way
Feb. 8th, 2004 02:05 pmSix degrees of separation! As pointed out by
badgermonkey!
Everyone in Lotr seems to be only 3 steps removed from everyone in Bollywood.
Karl / Manisha Koirala = 3
Dominic / Shahrukh Khan = 3
Orli / Kajol = 3
It's marvellous! It's crossover heaven!
Aha, I just tested out Kiran Shah and the stupid separations generator does not work with body doubles. (The thing claims that Kiran and Orlando are separated by 2 degrees via POTC!! *splutters in indignation*) I'm sure that if we factored in Kiran, Fon et al., the degrees of separation would all melt down to 2!!!
Otoh, none of those actors would be able to manage a Bollywood film. I simply cannot see Dom or Viggo (or Brad or Harrison, for that matter) pull off the type of song-and-dance extravaganzas that Shahrukh and co. regularly amaze me with.
Weep convincingly? Speechify on matters ideological? Babble nonsense and cavort in slapstick fashion? Coo romantically? Dance in manner both athletic and erotic? And all of this in the one film?
Sorry, Hollywood guys, you just wouldn't make the cut.
