I did like Karl. This is the sexiest Karl yet, and I'm totally coming round to azewewish's position that the short hair is dead sexy. He is such a mean, rangy sex machine in this film, and he speaks Russian (probably in an execrable accent but I can't tell that, *g*).

But the surprise of seeing Marton!!!! This comes from not following fandom news any longer: would you believe I had no idea that Marton Csokas was going to be in this?! I nearly fainted with delight.

So what with the rangy Croat (?) to one side and the smouldering philtrumed Magyar to the other, I hardly knew where to look.

Oh, the convos:
"Hiya, Marty. You here, too?"
"Yeah, Karl. Remember the Xena days?"
"Oh, and loved your wig in Rings."
"Ditto, Karl. Come for a beer?"
"Why not just come?"

(all of this in thick NZ accents -- *pokes tongue out at blythely)

LJ comment posting

About four weeks ago, something changed in the land of LJ commenting.

It used to be the case that you typed up a comment, clicked on 'Post Comment' and got a window that said 'Your comment has been successfully posted. If you wish to see it, click here.'

Now you click on 'Post Comment' and then have to wait for ages while the stupid page loads because you are immediately zapped into that user's entire thread. And if the thread is long or stuffed with pics, this can take a very stupid boring long time.

Is there any way to switch off this instant-zapped-to-thread function? I have no special desire to see my comment once I've posted it, and certainly no desire at all to hang around waiting for jpegs to upload.
