On the whole, I am happy at the moment.

• I used a sunbed for the second time in my life yesterday. I wore a singlet to prevent excess tanning because I am there for the Vitamin D, not the tan. It has an immense cheering effect. My sister tells me that in Germany this kind of winter-SAD combatting is called a 'Lichtkur' (a light cure). I also feel bizarre, feeling sunburnt under my winter knits.

• My back is better! The osteopath wants me to come in for quarterly 'osteopathic maintenance'. I am a motorcar!

• Various other reasons. :-)

• Portugal! Brazil! junalele!! My cup runneth over.
