weather snow
Jan. 24th, 2007 06:57 pmThe media and everyone talked about global warming. Daffodils are coming up in January. But this morning I looked out and through the curtains I saw this gleaming white thing, and then I opened the curtains and went 'o my god... CHILDREN!'
It was snow! What a surprise snow always is. There wasn't a whole lot of it, and it was gone by noon, but it looked nice and white and felt powdery and then compacted in the hand. Stalks of grass still pushed through it here and there so it was a bit pockmarked. The sky was steel. The bikes were covered in soft white fur.
