tech ipod question

I ripped a DVD with Handbrake and turned it into an mp4 file and tried to upload it onto the ipod-with-video. It told me that this file 'cannot be copied onto the ipod because it cannot be played on the ipod'. When I did this before, it worked. What should I do?? Any ideas, o wise techie flist friends??
