rab ne bana di jodi joy
May. 1st, 2009 10:26 pmThe DVD arrived day before yesterday. Last night I watched the film again, the first time after having seen it in the cinema last year! Just now I watched the Making Ofs... and then my favourite scenes over and over again.
I love that film so much.
It puts such a huge, huge smile on my face. The ending is so very, very happy-making.
Shahrukh Kan is a fantastic actor in this film. The way he conveys one character playing another character while the first character still shines through but in the meantime, being himself transformed... And when he is finally told that 'she loves him', god, the face, the hesitant fluttering hand gesture, the half-smile, the half-weeping, the hand over the eyes again, the wiping of the eyes against the arm... it is unbelievably good and soul-warming.
