We're barely a week into the World Cup and already the carefree fun and lolz are waning and the nailbiting trauma is starting.

This happens when it starts to matter. This happens when you've fallen in love with a team and they lose. This happens when a team drops out of the group stage and doesn't progress and this means you will not see this team again for another four years. *wails*

First trauma of Saturday: Australia:Ghana 1:1.

The trauma started last week with Australia:Germany 1:4 and a red card for Tim "this was my world cup dream" Cahill.

Then today: a red card for Kewlie!! (Harry Kewell)

Second and even more aching trauma: Cameroon:Denmark 1:2.

Nkoulo of Cameroon.

Mbia.

Samuel Eto'o, their star. But there were so many stars!

Heartbreaking. (Aboubakr)

Cameroon has been my heart's team since 1990 and Roger Milla. They played beautifully tonight. Best game in the World Cup so far. They were inventive and opened the game up and were red-and-yellow and played so beautifully.

And then the Danes got them out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Arrrrggghh.

I can't even post or type or even talk. This World Cup is the end of me.
