So the Inception fandom, it turns out, is almost relentlessly Arthur/Eames-focussed.

So I trawled around and found me some non-A/E. In fact, I found Nash!

Up until yesterday, I did not like Nash. Then I read kirstenlouise's Thirty Pieces of Silver (Nash/Saito) . And now I love Nash!

And omg, how did I not know that he (aka Lukas Haas) was the Little Boy in Witness??!

Oh, and writing experiments! Remember those?

Whatever happened to writing experiments in Inception fandom? *looks around at the stylistic tumbleweeds on the fandom's main street*

The fandom abounds with explicit squeeish porn and PWPs galore, and nearly all of it concentrated on men under the age of 35. Now, nothing against bb-men; I am an Arthur-luster-after myself, and have been converted to the joys of Tom Hardy by cherrybina's endlessly cheerful journal. However! There is surprisingly little in the way of meta-musings about writing and stylistic venturesomeness and ramblings about narrative.

Do dreams quash rational authorial cogitation? And leave us floundering on the shores of wordless lusts?

Also, hm, interesting that in Lotrips Dom and Lij and Orli were regarded as 'boys' (ages 19-23) and Billy was sort of a 'boy' as well (aged over 30) but could morph into man on rare occasions while Karl was mostly a Manly Man (as were Viggo and Sean, both over 40).

Now, Karl Urban during filming of Lord of the Rings was 29. He was a Manly Man.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt (Arthur of Inception), when Inception came out, was 29. He is a bb (Baby).

Now, of course, I'm wanting to slash time-travel Karl (29) / JGL!Arthur (29). Hoho.
