I am pigging out on LotR actors this weekend. [livejournal.com profile] demelzagirl sent me a wonderful, wonderful tape full of "Hetty Wainthropp", and I spent last night forward-winding to get to the bits with Dom. I unashamedly adore Baby-Dom!! Then, in a fit of consumer madness, I bought a box-set of Xena and drooled over Karl and Craig (yes, Craig!!) AS WELL AS a DVD of Black Hawk Down.

I'm beyond saving.

The hubster, after getting all excited about getting a present from me because he loves BHD, suddenly said suspiciously, "Um, this doesn't have one of your slash people in it, does it? I knew it!"

Mwuaaahahahahah. He's away all weekend. I will drool.

Er... shouldn't I be writing stories...? Or, er, something?

you most certainly should be writing stories and you can write them entirely in italics if you like. How else am I going to be inspired to hunt out more incredible edibles?

Drool-fest does sound fun, though - and should certainly be inspirational!

meanwhile am still stuck on bloody flash-slash. grrr.

*sigh*

Have yet to see BHD. [livejournal.com profile] freyafloyd keeps saying "special features" to me on AIM and this is making me edge towards buying the bloody thing. Which leads me to wonder if [livejournal.com profile] viva_gloria has any desire to see it? (during our pretty-fest coming up this weekend).

And yay for [livejournal.com profile] demelzagirl sending you Hetty! Oddly enough (and actually, quite randomly) I am about to have a new kitten come live with me and one of the names mooted is Hetty. However there are two good reasons not to choose it:

1. Hetty was my paternal grandmother's name and I think my Dad would not be too pleased if I named a cat that.
2. According to Olama (who works with me), Hetty is a really bad word in Bengali (although is probably not spelt the same). I gather from the mime and shudder she did when I asked what it meant, that it probably means somethng like cunt.

Oh well..

BHD under false pretenses

I did the same thing! Hubby got BHD for his birthday, but I was caught out almost immediately. As soon as "Pvt. Blackburn" appeared on screen, he said, "Isn't he that Orlando guy that you like?" Ooops!

And should you be writing stories? Er, Yes!! *cracks whip*

I must confess to having bought a copy of Wilde to have 30 seconds of Orlando as a rent boy.
