techie question

Does anybody know how I can view a .wmv video file on my ibook? I have OSX Tiger and QuickTime and DVDdoctor (for converting .avi files) and VLC. But none of these wants to open the .wmv file.

Any ideas??? *smiles hopefully*

P.S. One of t'sons has come home from school and took the death of the guinea pig very calmly. He reminded us of what the vet had said, that g-pigs die very suddenly, without warning.
