Reading, for fic research purposes, the wikipedia article on Wayne Rooney, I came across this little snippet:
When he moved to Manchester United and was told to find a home in the posh area of Cheshire, Rooney passed a pub which he thought was named "Admiral Rooney" and saw it as a good omen for his future home. It actually was "Admiral Rodney", but Rooney chose the place, Prestbury anyway.
I am already slashing Rooney/Ronaldo (Roonaldo) and Rodney McKay/Cristiano Ronaldo (Rodnaldo? *stabs self*). Do I need to write Rodney/Rooney now??
And 'Admiral'! That smacks of PotC crossover potential.
"Hello, I am Admiral Norrington. Surrender your arms!"
"Ooh, an admiral. What a good omen. Er, what exactly's an admiral, then?"
"What you mean, 'arms'? This is my legs I have got around my friend When."
