It continues to be relentlessly hot. It cools down at night and in the morning, there is a freshness in the air. But already, walking t'children to school at 8.30, the sun felt hot on my bare shoulders. Earlier, I ventured into the garden when it was sunny. Now, it's turned around so that I actually hide out inside the cool living room.

Sweat collects in armpits and on the philtrum. I opened all the windows in the loft which made a door bang shut. The sky is a hazy blue. No clouds. Walking the street is like walking into a fan oven or hot breath or one of those automatic hand dryers in public loos.

T'son took a bottle of frozen water to school (his idea). By the time, we got to the school gates, it was already mooshy.

I am wearing a strappy top (for the first time since the 1970s), shorts and strappy sandals. I had to abandon my Flylady lace-ups because I managed to make the top of my foot chafe, stupidly wearing thongs (flip-flops) in Brighton.

Aw. I wish I could hide in our living room... actually I wish our living room was cool, lol. My co-worker/boss just bought a little... erm... fan if you can call it this for the office. It stopped after five minutes. But we got it to work again, it even has an effect by now :)
Sorry, didn't want to bother you, but I'm kind of in "trivial chatter" mood :/

But... "philtrum"... you had me looking that one up, lol. Always good to learn something new ;p

Philtrum... heh, you are clearly not former lotripper because everyone in lotrips knows this one, I hazard, ever since Dominic Monaghan opined on television that he found Billy Boyd's philtrum cute. *gg*

I see..... how fitting as in Greek it means somethiung along the lines of "Love-Charm" ;)

As to "lotrip" I've heard it being mentioned by you some times and obviously it's Lord of the Rings related - yeah, Sherlock - and so I must say, no I'm not familiar with it.

It's just as hot in Germany. The library is nice and cool though. Like it here. Well, not really, since I have to be here but it is cool. Cooler than at home.

What? I'm taking a well deserved break here. And shouldn't you be like working on that book of yours? ;)

Philtrum=love charm? Oh, how piquant! Are you Greek? Or just very educated?? :-)

lotrips is lotr rps, as in Lord of the Rings real person slash. My entry fandom and the only other rps I've had until football. And I am so loving the rps right now!

Have a lotrips icon. *g*

Educated? Oh, that's be nice, nope and no Greek, even though I knew one, I'm German/ Polish, lol. And when there is some interesting trivia about something new I get to know - then I'd find it mostly, by incident_mostly. Life can be so boring if you don't make it interesting yourself, lol.

Oh lotrps no wonder I couldn't be sure it was real person slash... the second r was missing! *shakes head at herself and her stupidity*. Hmmm, I kind of should have thought though :) I've had some rps before, still I got to shock one certain friend of mine when I told her I was into footballslash now, lol.
But lotr.. tricky topic for me... I'm afraid I could never become interested in neither Lotr nor HP. The only movie pairing I'd like would be Aragorn/Boromir or Aragorn/Haldir. And as to rps in lotr... well I'm not the biggest fan of the actors and I tend not to give things a chance that I don't like, particularly when there are just sooo many who like them. I might be proven wrong, and that'd be a disaster, lol. I might try once though, who knows :)

Not even strappy sandals can save us from this oppresive heat.
