Slashy library days

lobelia321I love my days in the library! I read, read, read, then I have coffee and a Danish. Then I read, read, read, then I have lunch. Then I employ special post-prandial strategies to avoid falling into a deep early-afternoon library slumber. Today I trotted up six flights of stairs and browsed along shelves. I found a very relevant chapter in a book, and then lo and behold, a few pages on I found a completely irrelevant chapter but it contained these wonderfully explicit slashy pictures!!!!! (I scuttled home and located them on the web!)
They are by Christian Schad.
This one has the wonderfully delicious title of "Liebende Knaben" (and if you don't understand German, that means something like "Loving Boys" -- or let's just call it "The Snogging Pretty"). Date: 1929.
And this one, woohoo, is "Sisters", 1929.
Oh, I do like my days in t'reference library... Not to forget the minutes spent surreptitiously wainthropping in the loo cubicles...
