Am trying to cheer self up by writing ultra-scathing review of hyped novel which is (a) crap and (b) rated very highly on Amazon by people who have never reviewed anything else. Does this make me a bad person? also, am prevaricating on above. Apologies for wittering
Novel is this one. I am still prevaricating on review, and on whether I can legitimately say 'have read much better fanfic' given audience of said review (well-regarded genre webmagazine).
Not helped by having advance review copy full of what I sincerely hope are typos that will be picked up pre-publication ...
