I saw, I agogged, I writhed!

[livejournal.com profile] cesperanza has basically said it all already. There remains for me only to add my few eurocents.

Yes, it is fanfic come alive! Eerie, really. And this is the series' swan song? How... interesting.

There is a squiggly, Ridley-Scott-alienish thing in this episode. The thing is called 'the parasite'. I am sure it is sentient. I am sanguine that it is slashable. It must be slashed with the wraith-ancestor parasite that threatens to kill John in '38 Minutes', yes!! Parasite/parasite slash!!

"He's mine, you know. Bugger off."
"I was here first. Go and inhabit somebody else's body."
"Hm, I can see a body I'd like to inhabit. Bend over, baby."
"Coil yourself around me, big boy."

Anyway, where was I? Oh yes. Wraith! Why did wraith not burst through the curtain of waterfall doom to fall all over their lust-object Sheppard? Were they frightened by the sound of brain-drilling? (Honestly, that was pure horror. That is the most extreme and angsty SGA I've seen.)

Oh, and of course I loved the beer. Pure fannibalism. In fact, cross-fandom fannibalisation, as beer drinking, in my world, occurs most frequently on piers in Lord of the Rings rps. The pier-beer moment was totally a Viggo/Karl moment!

And of course I loved the whole 'John John' angst, and the stumbling into each other's bedroom in the middle of the night, and the clever jumbling up of chronological narration.

It tried to resist the lure of the parasite. But when the moist tentacles writhed their way around the insectoid-symbiote's torsal sac, resistance proved futile. Flesh squelched against flesh as parasites became one.

And what is to become of Hewlett and Flanigan and company now that they have been laid off??? Will they be hanging out at the unemployment office, Full-Monty style??
