Are these the mystery orcs?

Okay, after my second viewing of TTT today, I have a hunch as to the identity of these two gorgeous Wellington premiere mystery men (whose identification has been preying on me, oh yesss).



First of all, to remind you, here's the pic:



Never mind the three dudes in the foreground, it's the gents in sharp dark suits behind them I'm interested in.

My hunch is: The one on the left is the guy who plays the white-faced orc in the Merry/Pippin kidnap gang who says with a leering grin: "They look fresh."

The one on the right is the guy who plays the black-faced orc who pursues Merry and Pippin into Fangorn forest and who says: "Squeal for help" or something similar.

Am I right? Am I wrong? Help me out here, people!! And now to names!

The orcs are not addressed by name in the movie so has anyone seen the script? Are any of the following likely candidates: Jed Brophy (Sharku/Snaga)? Stephen Ure (Grishnakh)? Robert Pollock (Mordor orc)?

Can't be Nathaniel Lees (Ugluk) or Robbie Magasiva (Mauhur); they're Maori.



More thoughts on second viewing anon but for now: I just want to slash orcs for the next four months! And after that I want to slash Bernard with Viggo and with John R-D and with everyone else in sight until RotK comes out and I can do same to John Noble.

I think you're right. Of course, it's hard to tell under all that makeup, but the facial structures do seem to match. And those two orcs were quite clearly from a white base.

It's conclusive! They are Jed Brophy and Stephen Ure! Mystery solved!

Wow, you are indeed very good. Just came back from my second viewing as well, and I still don't think I'd have recognized them myself... though the nose on that one guy on the right does indeed match the nose on the orc running after Merry and Pippin in Fangorn.
