And here it is again! My very first icon, although not actually made by me, and not even made to be an icon. I don't even know where I found it anymore. Could you please ask me to work on my natural hazards presentation? Since I can't say no to you....

Well, I have to give a paper on trends in natural hazards/disasters and the role of insurances in natural disaster research/management. One of my English teachers always used oral presentation for 'Referat', and seeing as he is a native speaker I assumed that was correct. No?

Don't be *g*. I'm the second speaker of three at an introduction to a (surprise!) natural hazards seminar, meaning I will speak 30 minutes max, 15 minutes for each of my topics, and have to stay very general. But I have to invest some work nonetheless... *dangles carrot in front of her face*

I noticed you mention Katjes Lakritzkätzchen a lot and seem to be very fond of them *g*. If you can't get them in the UK it would be no problem for me to send you some. Only if you're comfortable with that of course.

Hah, but you know I will always associate you with that slightly mournful picture of John Noble (er, I think it was John Noble). Even when you were being silly, it sort of added to the comedy.

I love the fish + cap more and more each time I see it. It's non sequitur made slash, the ultimate triumph of slash over logic. Discursive banditry!

(The kitten butter business was a long line of exponential silliness between Laz and I, in which we ended up proposing to slash Kirsten Dunst with a kitten, and use the butter on strategic body parts to get the kitten interested. And then I transcribed her the lesbian porn from which I had got the idea. And *then* she found a picture of Kirsten cuddling a cat! And then it was all over bar the shouting.)

The kitten butter business was a long line of exponential silliness between Laz and I,

O my god. You used 'I' for 'me'. *hyperventilates in shock*

Will I ever recover from this discursively transgressive subversively dis-grammatising rhetorical act?

In other news: is *this* the icon? *winks* That was my very first icon. [livejournal.com profile] azewewish made it for me. It's true: maybe part of the reason I chose eyebrow for you is that I was imprinted; it's the one I saw *first*.

Fish + cap? It's non sequitur made slash, the ultimate triumph of slash over logic.

How exactly does it do that? Hm, I admit that I chose it only for its lunacy. But perhaps that is what you mean?

I should go off and make a picture of I and fish. (Note purposeful misuse of 'I'... heh, you'll never hear the last of it now.)

Heh. Kinda looks like it! But it's really a bird, a Kakapo... I discovered its existence thanks to [livejournal.com profile] viva_gloria, actually (and to her deliciously funny fic, Night of the Kakapo) and I fell in love with the poor little thing. New Zealand birds are cute. And sweet. And funny. And yes, I AM that shallow. ;)

I really must use my other icons more, because that 'Good Boy' icon kind of suggests that I have an obsession with putting pretty boys in sub/dom scenarios.

Azewewish's icon is very her though, but I would have gone for the Josh's abs one for Laz.

And yes, I know that *you* would have gone for Laz's Josh icon... *rolls eyes*

But I had to pick the saturn because that's Laz before she was abducted by the Curl Demon, *gg*. And for some reason I always associate the word 'lazulus' with some cosmic sort of body.

You know, being the icon-making freak that I am, I'm surprised I haven't yet done a similar list... i so love looking at other people's icons.... mmmmm... might go and be the complete unoriginal girl that I usually am and take a page out of your book. It would be fun having a look at all of my friend's icons, lol. I already know which one makes me think of you most, and I'm not telling, yet! ;-)

As for mine... yeah... for a while, I kept changing my default icon--and all of the others--constantly. But then I made this one, and I kind of thing it's pretty fitting. Not that I look anything like that, mind you, but I do love the naughty, pervy teacher idea it brings. Eh. Cuz I'm a teacher, but the one thing I dread the most is becoming an unpervy boring one some day. So I keep this icon to remind myself that my mind's mostly happy in the gutter and should stay there.

And I rambled again. Sorry about that. Am just happy you like this icon, too. :-) *wanders off to have a look at her own friends' icons*...

Weeeee! I was kind of hoping I'd manage to start a meme.... Am so honoured! Will rename myself Madame of the Meme. And it is fun and sort of intreresting to discover to what extent you identify people with their icons. Sometimes, if people change icons completely, I find it quite disconcerting. And my own icons I sometimes find just don't *fit* me anymore so I need to change them. I sort of try an icon out for a week or so and if it doesn't *click*, it has to go.
