I feel confused. I wandered into the room where my son is watching TV and playing Gameboy Advance all at the same time, and there was Mrs Wainthropp on the television! Except she was all floral and it wasn't her, it was someone called Hyacinth in something called Keeping Up Appearances and where were Mr W and Geoffrey? But it was Patricia Routledge, and I had a *turn* exactly like the turns I have when I unexpectedly happen upon a LotR actor.

This proves it: the Wainthropp power is as strong as the Pretty!

Heh. She's also in To Sir With Love as a young saucepot female teacher, which sent me off on an odd tangent while I was watching it because I was trying to work out how old she was and what year it was filmed in, and therefore, in the parallel ELF universe, how old would the Ws have been, etc.

Then I realised that, like many of my tangents, this was the behaviour of a madwoman, and I stopped.
