First, I assembled half a bookshelf in the children's room. 5-year old was faithful helper and hander of screwdriver.

Then, I discovered that our bedroom is very hot now (what with the sun and all) but that the window cannot be opened because a tarpaulin has been nailed to the extension roof (which leaks) for the past months and a huge timber batten thing is nailed onto the window sill.

So Adventure Mum changed into shorts, clambered onto her desk past her trusty computer, fell onto the tarpaulined roof, shimmied along, James-Bond-fashion, to the bedroom window, observed terror-stricken face of 5-year old through window, extracted nails with hammer, pulled at tarpaulin, soothed son, instructed him to fetch a chair to stand on and to open the window -- and tada! Air entered the bedroom!

*slaps hands together in manner of builder's-crack-sporter*

Question: Where can I find a link to the Sneak pics that actually works?

And this one's just for [livejournal.com profile] badgermonkey: Smallville OTP spam:

Sorry for all of you who need pics under cuts but it had to be done.

Orlando pictures (not huge): Empire has them, presumably their servers can handle the load.

wow! i'm much with the awe here. i can't DIY even with good instructions. when i assemble anything, i usually end up with the thingy being lopsided and a few leftover thingummies. a few weeks later, when i sneeze, the whole thing would collapse and crush my toes.

go you!

Well, I only had to un-assemble and re-assemble once, due to having forgotten to attach a particular and not even super-essential panel. But I did have my trusty sidekick, aged 5, to help. *g*
