But, otoh, freyafloyd managed to convince me with her 1,000 word disquisition on Orli's "stupidity", so now I've come round to her reading of the situation which is that Orli dumbs down for interviews, that he is actually not dumb at all and that the only dumb thing about him is the pretending to be dumb. She reckons he makes his accent more working-laddish and puts on all that 'cool, man' stuff. Do you remember that thread? Can try and find the link, if you're keen.

No, I don't remember that, but it's all very interesting. The wonderful thing about Orli is that he's a bit of a blank canvas. You can have whatever you want going on inside that curly head of his. And the 'cool, yeah man's can mean whatever you want them to mean.

I find I grow more and more fond of stupid?Orli as time goes on...

I too have been assimilated by the Orli fandom after 18 months of desperate resistance. It's the recent hair, definitely - I had no trouble at all fending him off when he had the Mohawk, or the hideous US army no-hair cut. But the hobbity curls are irresistible.

Yes, for me it is entirely and absolutely about the curls. And about the candid photos -- am *so* tired of photoshoot pouty looks.

But I started out as an Orligal, then was turned off by too many 'cools' and 'likes' and 'mans' in the extended DVD. However, am now vanquished by glory of curls.
