Communal droolage

Yesterday was the first time I have ever enjoyed communal droolage! And what fun it was!! lazulus and ukcalico came, saw and stayed and stayed, which was so wonderful as ever new clips, videos and DVD's marched across the screens in my house, were freeze-framed and squealed at.

Hah!



And I did, too. Mega fun. Thanks to blithesea for ridiculous iconage inspiration, and also ia_ne for icon prop supply! *g*

We ate cake, incl. Lazulus' very delicious poppyseed cake of which I just partook yet again. We drank wine. We ate ratatouille. We drooled over: Hetty Wainthropp (the *urges* talk!), Midsomer Murders (well, what to say), Bean/Orli/Dom (enabled onto my computer, finally, by the combined talents of Laz'n'Cal), and oodles of ext-DVD.

Hahah! I still can't stop laughing.

This materialising of virtual Friends in my town is 'sumply febulous'. Undeed, Cambrudge uz un danger of becoming a vurry cethucted soite.

More on trip to Amsterdam and current status of k/d anon. (Or should I say: enon.)

I'm deeply envious, oddly the SF Bay Area seems very thin for fandom, I only know two others, and they're quite far from me.

Am going to be in London the first week of October (hint, hint...)

Hour and a quarter by train. Even closer to Cambridge, which means Lobelia will probably have learnt what terrible company I am by October. ;)

Look, we must arrange something. I don't know blythely but I know Kia a bit but not irl. I know Gloria. Lazulus is in London, and Calico will be in London from September, and Sheldrake's not far away. I can come down to London or invite you up to Cambridge.

At least we have some time to plan. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to leave town during the conference -- they're paying me and putting me up, so I owe them *something*. We'd better plan on London, just in case. I'll know more later.

Lobelia! It were fab! Lovely to meet T'Hubster (who coped admirably with the onslaught of mad slash women in his abode), the youngest child was, as with the last time, adorable (even if he did get a tad over-wraught with all the excitement) and the eldest child was cool as a cucumber again. Cal was her usual adorable self, and all was right with the world!

All in all, had SUCH fun!

One small thing, next time you need to sort out the weather. *cough*

Well, one side-effect of visits-to-mother and karl/drom-discardings and cal-laz-visitations is that I have had less time online and more fun irl! So, ack, have had no time for exhaustive k/d or anything post.

job hunt blows. i have my resume in to two employment agencies and a friend got me a job interview for thursday. other than that, am sitting on my ass not doing a whole lot. i am being very bad.
