Ack! I just found out from hjartad's LJ that Dominic is going to be in another movie! It's sci-fi! It's called The Purifiers! It's going to be directed by Richard Jobson (whoever he is).

And: it's going to be filmed in Milton Keynes!

Maybe for once, in the footsteps of thejennabides, we inhabitants of Britain's slash hub of the Southeast will be able to do actor stalking!!

Milton fucking Keynes! So far known to me only as the HQ of the Open University.

Milton Keynes. That's where I didn't stalk Billy. Not sure if I can cope with a return visit - it's a town made out of a giant shopping centre! *shudder*

I think t'research needs to be watertight before t'stalking can commence. None of this hanging round the mall business. We need to know times and locations of backdoor studio exits.

We need to disguise ourselves as Orli.

Oh my goodness! Milton Keynes? And to think I spent a year haunting it every time I had half a day off, and now I'm miles and miles away. Fuck. For all the time I was there, there was never anyone interesting in the vicinity of it. *grumbles*

That said, I don't really miss not being stuck in Stowe and roaming Milton Keynes' mall and other fun places on my days off.

Just didn't know you'd lived in england for a while. Also, I've been to Stowe. Well, not the school but the Gardens. Gorgeous.

A very very very short while. 10 months to be exact. Not long enough. Though 10 months in Stowe was kind of long enough, come to think of it...

Oh, definitely. That was the cool side of it. It was kind of a fairytale setting, you know? I loved to be able to roam the gardens any time I wanted, most particularly at night. Though that usually meant I'd end up chasing students who had gone driking in the woods.

It was also pretty nifty to be going around thinking: "This is where T.H.White lived... and wrote... damn..." :-)

On the other hand, living in Stowe and not having a car turned out pretty boring after a while. It took us 1 hour and a half to walk into town (town being Buckingham, which was a pretty small and dull town. One W.H.Smith--small one-- Tesco and a couple of pubs. Oh, and an indian restaurant. And that was about it.), and we usually ended in Milton Keynes for fun when we could get our hands on a car. And really, Milton Keynes is... well, Milton Keynes, lol.

But all in all, it was a pretty good year and quite an adventure. I certainly don't regret it, even if I don't particularly miss it. :-)

well, how big is milton keynes? maybe you can just drive about for a bit to all the touristy spots and see if you can spot huge honking klieg lights and signs which say, 'filming in progress,' or something?

i mean, leggyslove located Lij filming try 17 in vancouver, and i'm sure she'll be able to find Orli when he's filming remains of the piano in vancouver. vancouver's a pretty big place. i'm sure you'll be able to find Dom in milton keynes. just go stand in corners and yell, "DOM! OI! DOM! OVER HERE!" really loudly...

No, honey, afraid not. It's more of the equivalent of, well, I don't know what Canadian town it would be the equivalent of. It's a planned city, invented from the ground up by utopian city planners of the 1950s with the result that it's one giant shopping mall. That's about it. Touristic sights? Nope.

I think it's already been filmed actually. Filming began on May 6, and they also did some shooting in Glasgow (as far as I know).

Oh, and May 6th just happens to be the same day (or thereabouts) that Dom paid Billy a short visit at the Collectormania convention that sheldrakeand I went to in Milton Keynes.

Although I'd rather continue to believe that Dom showed up to shag Billy silly in the Gents room during Billy's lunch break.
