Who is going to the POTC premiere in London on Monday?

And what time is it on?

*feeling browbeaten by relentless fangirls urging me to go*

Are you seriously considering it? Because if you are, I may just have to come along for the sheer entertainment value!

I will not be there. I will be sulking in my East Anglian hovel, occasionally muttering about aphids.

I was not there. I was in Norwich.

Aphids: Unprompted, the husband brought them up yesterday. Apparently, the female aphid kills her mate after mating by piercing his head with her proboscis.

He was trying to draw an analogy to humans.

I went to the Farmers Guide website! Ack! The regionalness of it!

But August issue is not out yet!

This is more nailbiting than the advent of Flaunt.

You know what? I've never actually been to the Farmers Guide website. I fear it may be damaging to my health.

But August issue is not out yet!

I know. We're still lovingly creating it. I'd send you a complimentary copy, but half the time they don't even send me one.

But! I'm quite confident that sometime this week or next week, I may have pictures of one or both of our aphid experts!!! How exciting is that??

*blows fuse*

I *googled* Tait and Harrington. There are quite a few of them, ranging from BBC medical experts to novelists.

!!!!!

Lobelia, you astound me more each day.

Disappointingly, it looks as though the aphid article may have been dropped from the August issue, in favour of some inferior report about a an explosion of Black-grass in crops -- but with all these new Taits and Harringtons to choose from... just think! Tait/Harrington RPS - just pick the Tait and Harrington of your choice! Crossovers and everything!

I know. I'm sorry. There is an outside chance it might turn up in September, but I'm afraid we're just going to have to face the fact that we may never know what they actually look like. Try to be brave.

At least I now know what an aphid looks like.

I shall try to console myself with that.
