Bloomdrool
Jul. 15th, 2003 10:17 amAm in a droolpool. Sort of.
Though effects of Graham Norton may slowly be wearing off. (1 more day to go!)
But Jack Davenport was there as well! Oh, *swooneroonie*.
Although, in matters "This Life" (which miraculously reappeared on BBC2 on Sunday night), I like Warren (Jason Hughes) best. It's the sticky-outy ears that get me. (Hey, is that the Dom-love rearing its grinning head?)

This is Warren from "This Life". (Jack plays Miles, also highly delectable. But the ears are streamlined.)
Jack as Commodore Norrington. Note hat. And frown.

Date: 2003-07-15 03:37 am (UTC)I have seen him in the flesh. And he totally looked at me, too. I have *witnesses* to this obvious display of wanton flirtation.

Date: 2003-07-15 03:53 am (UTC)Bloom without curls is of no interest to me.
Note: have just posted new Jackpic to LJ. Ignore face obtruding itself into the background. Focus on Second from Left. Hm, I wonder who First from Left is.
And you've *met Jack Davenport*???!!!
omg wtf
I didn't know you'd *met* people!!!!!!!
You didn't meet Warren (whatever the actor's name is again) too, did you?
Jack is also in Talented Mr Ripley but, hm, where else? Ah well, who needs research. Let's just ogle. And there's a picture of him and his *mum* here (scroll down) . And also mum (who is somebody called Maria Aitken) with *guest*. Demelza: check out that GUEST!!! FC, or what?

Date: 2003-07-15 09:37 am (UTC)I must admit to having been something of a low-level fan since This Life first came on; never manic but alas! the floppy fringe appears to have much the same effect on me as the curls do on you.
Maria Aitkin's friend looks rather jolly, I must say. Very FC; tears behind the smile, what?

Have not yet got a flop-icon to tickle fancies with. Will wait until after the Greece holiday and acquire Coupling (the title sounds promising... unless it's to do with trains.) Is it still on?
And HW crossover!!! omg wtf &c. *laughs helplessly at own ridiculosity*
And yes, Maria Aitken's GUEST. He *should* be fictionalised!
*off to find flops*

Date: 2003-07-16 04:23 pm (UTC)Of course if I was feeling technologically minded enough I could probably transfer the episodes from my DVD onto video tape, a process only slightly hindered by the fact that the DVDs, video tapes, cables etc are all in boxes in the middle of my living room, and therefore, causing me great angst. (The boxes, that is, not the stuff. Why did I decide to move? It is sending me hysterical.)
Or you could come to the seaside and watch it at my new house when the hysterics have ceased :g:

Date: 2003-07-15 04:32 am (UTC)When I was in first year, and my friend group was the four-person Little Incestuous Pool of Fucked-Up-Ness (maybe that's a bit harsh, but more about that another time) we used to gather in the other girl's room every Monday night to watch Red Dwarf and This Life. One night, the episode of This Life was rated M, and the ABC wished to advise it contained "frank sex scenes".
We were duly impressed.
Halfway through the episode, character X turned to character Y and said: "Can I be frank?"
We said: "Hohoho, bet we know why you want to be Frank! He's gettin' some tonight!"
Well, it's funny to me...
