I can see how he's unslashable, though. He's just too, too fuck-toyish.

However, he is the only boy I can see bottoming to Orlando's top. Except that he looks like Orlando's younger brother.

ETA: Well, not the *only* boy. Not in my universe, obviously. Orlando tops constantly in my universe. He tops Viggo in my universe!! But I was thinking more of Cordelia. *winks*

I guess I just can't imagine Hugh topping even a mouse. He's too luscious.

we love him! we find him very slashy and slashable. we, in turn, are flummoxed by your perception that he is not. (if I may speak for Gabby, which in this case I think I can - help yourself to a beverage, G., while you're there in my brain.)

but speaking for myself here now, I have to say that yes, yes, a thousand yeses to Orlando/Hugh, Orlando topping Hugh. and it's not just Sleeping Dictionary, though that may be quintessential Hugh; I'm trying to get Jaq a copy of Tempo as well...

But note: my comment was directed at ,lj user="freyafloyd"> who said that to her he was unslashable because she herself felt so very heterosexual about Hugh. So I saw the film and found I had to agree with her, to a degree.

and that's fine. I mean, I crave Hugh fic like a junkie, and almost no one writes him. if you can't slash him - and how on earth could you get him 'wrong' in terms of slash? Cordelia and I used to have a completely different take on him, but we kept writing him our own ways and actually, I much prefer different takes to one uniform one. which would make the world of Hugh fic unbearably dull.

but alright, okay, don't slash him if you don't want to. would you consider writing het fic for him, then? anything. Hugh. I need Hugh!

I then directed my comment at her (note the line "winks at freyafloyd") and said, yes I could see how he was totally unslashable! Note also my 'mood': too het to hugh.

Stop glaring at me! I have no idea why I'm being blamed. I did say I couldn't slash Hugh, well not on paper at least; I slash him with Ewan, Orlando, and/or Jude all the time in my head. I have written three fics about Hugh, but I can't write him actually shagging. This could be because he's mine, mine, damn you all! The hetness is just too overpowering.

I beg everyone else to write Hugh so that I can read it.

just to clarify: I hope you are joking when you say that you should have locked the entry, that it is too meta (I can respond in a meta fashion! Hugh vibes slashy to me, always has, Cordelia can vouch for this; he vibes slashy even in his het, which is what makes Sleeping Dictionary quintessential Hugh - it was Cordelia herself who label SD!Hugh the quintessial one), and that we are in any way attacking you. I love differences of opinion, especially where no one gets hurt. I think fandom and fic thrive on such differences.

It's difficult. I think Hugh in general is deluded that he is a top, when quite clearly he's a bottom. He's just too repressed to realise it. He'll learn, in time.
