7.30 am:
Door bell rings. L jumps out of bed, throws on robe, stubs toe on fan. T'h grumbles, "Fuck, what's that? Who's that?" L: "The scaffolding."

7.35-now:
Half-naked bare-chested man scrambles about the windows of L's residence, erecting scaffolding (and god knows what else...).

9.15:
Robert Sayles van arrives. L receives delivery of one round garden table and two chopping boards.

10.35:
Disgracefully late, the L entourage sets off for playscheme: L on bike with tagalong in tow, son junior on tagalong, son senior wobbling along on bike ahead.

11.05:
Return to L abode. Asks half-naked scaffolder if he would like a cup of tea. He opts for coffee. This is not good as there is very little of the stuff left and L and Mr S-B aka t'h are addicted to this substance. Also, there is no milk as Dr and Dr S-B do not take milk and evidently also deprive their children of calcium. L gets on bike-with-tagalong and cycles to shops. Buys: milk (1 litre, semi-skimmed), bananas (5, some ripped off better-looking bunches in the crate), apples (2, red), bakewell tarts (6 in multi-pack). Also spends 5 minutes leafing through *Heat* magazine in quest of pics of Brad, Jude, Bloom, Depp or similar. Encounters only Beckham, however.

12.05:
Finally makes coffee. Eats left-over peanut butter and jam toast.

12.25:
Assembles round garden table.

12.45:
Rings babysitter. Leaves txt message.

13.00
Says 'fuck' because went to the shops without getting pizza for babysitter.

13.00-14.35:
Does something but has no idea what. Time passes without conscious cognizance.

14.35:
Feels faint with hunger and puts pastitsio (made on day before) in microwave.

14.40:
Talks to t'h on phone.

15.00:
Feedbacks [livejournal.com profile] natasha1805.

15.25:
Faffs about. Listens to Issa Bagayogo. Saves things to her website. Refreshes email. Stares at document of book. Wrote 1001 words yesterday.

16.30:
Finishes writing an additional measly 224 words. In a fit of guilt, decides to send pics of Brad's penis to [livejournal.com profile] novanumbernine.

16.55:
This is now.

Reading your comment does make me wonder to what extent I am becoming a slave of the workmen.

Or dazzled by the shirtless factor.

Haha. You have half-naked men erecting things! And I like your grocery list. Isn't it strange about those unaccounted-for stretches of time? Happens to me all the time. Are you sure you didn't take a nap? And how can I become a beneficiary of your guilty feelings? *g*

You have time without children in the summer holidays and you let that time pass without accounting for it? This is an outrage. Every single moment I have alone is a precious jewel of solitude.

Except when I'm on aim to Laz; then it is something else. It is not a precious jewel; it is more of a vanilla coke. I may go and get a vanilla coke right now, as Laz isn't here.

(Note Hugh icon. I thought I'd remind you)

Is vanilla coke a good thing or a bad thing? because frankly, any flavoured coke is a sin against god, in my opinion (talking as someone who can't even drink pepsi). However, I am wholly aware that you have certain tastes not shared by myself, and as such will assume it is a compliment.

By the way, I am here now. And you are not. *heavy sigh*

(That's Hugh? I always thought that was Orli. I was just about to say that I'm a bad fan, but then I remembered that I'm neither a fan of Hugh nor Orli, so all is good. It is, isn't it?)

*giggles*

I saw 'Sleeping Dictionary' last week and my first thought was: Hugh looks like Orlando's younger brother.

I feel guilty about this about 99 percent of my life. If you mention it one more time, I will throw myself off the scaffolding outside my window.

No! No! No!

Although, I did visit Sylvia Plath's grave on thursday, as my friend was here visiting and wanted to see it. It is very near my house, and so if I happened to die, I could be buried right by her. I shall be the same age next year as she was when she died. I thought of you actually, as there was a postcard with a picture on it of some some Cambridge college, that had been left on her grave.

Anyway, I didn't mean for you to feel guilty that they are not there. I just mean tthat you should run around shouting Hurrah! I am free! Free! Then you should drink vanilla coke in a special glass with coca cola written on it, tell yourself that you are so American you could be with Josh Hartnett, but not the real vegetarian Josh, more a fantasy American consumerist Josh, who is very..

Yes, well, you proably aren't this sad as both yours have started school. My younger one is only two and STILL AT HOME. So I've gone mad.

I am going on holiday tomorrow.

I'm not even *that* Cambridge because unaffiliated with any of the illustrious (or unillustrious) colleges, nor even with the hallowed University itself. Am at the 'Other' University in Cambridge and languish in obscurity. Heh.

I saw BHD extras yesterday, thinking of you and Jenn. I am starting to recognise individual boys!!! Your efforts at education have paid off!

Happy hols.
