T'hubster, approaching imac: "What are all these pictures? Orlando Bloom?"

Lobelia: "Yeah. Potc premiere in L.A."

T'h, clicking his way through: "His good looks aren't going to last. Look at him here."

Lobelia, peering closely: "Hm. Well, Johnny Depp is already 40. I'll stick with him then."

T'h: "That's Johnny Depp? Is he good-looking?"

Lobelia: "He has good bone structure."

It is true! The photo in question did not show Mr Bloom in a flattering light. Indeed, it seemed to portend a double chin and sallow cheeks. Eeek, I'll have to feast myself on him now while I still can! Maybe [livejournal.com profile] novanumbernine's fictional prediction of middle-aged-hasbeen!Orli will come true!

*is strangely intrigued but also appalled*

Well, at least he'll always have his penis. (Or will he...?)

On the other hand, I look forward to all of my boys in 20 years' time. :-) Dom, I predict, will age phenomenally well. And Elijah can only improve.

ETA: I ordered The Truth about Demons (irrefutable or no) from amazon today. I was egged on by [livejournal.com profile] killerbuny (did I spell that right?). Karl-love! Come back to me!

Why are there no pics at all of Dom and Karl standing next to each other? This is most unsatisfactory. Could someone at the next premieres please sort of chivvy them in each other's general direction?

*splutters*

It's something to do with the nature of their good looks. I suspect that Orlando won't age that well. There's a certain type of facial beauty that turns haggard at a certain age - you see it in beautiful women a great deal. Orlando has that "pretty" kind of face, alas.

I think Elijah will look young until he's over 40, and then his face will sag alarmingly quickly, rather like what happened to Paul McCartney in his mid-forties.

Dom has an "interesting" face and I agree, will probably age better than any of them. He was never "pretty" like Orlando or Elijah. He's improved with age already, when you compare him now to the Hetty days, and I think age is strengthening his face considerably.

*snorts* Part of me can't believe we are actually discussing this seriously. Another part is perversely eager.

What I am looking forward to in Dom is the development of the *ponch*. I know, I am bizarre but that little middle-aged belly just turns me on no end. And he has it *incipiently*. Elijah McCartney: eek! Am not sure about that, though: Paul had baby face all his life; Lij does not really have a baby face, he's got a good nose and once his eyes start to drop into his head a bit and not stand out quite so much, I think he might end up being quite a striking 50-something. Orlando: who knows? Hubster could just be envious, *guffaws*. It's more difficult to see him in 20 years' time than some of the others, I have to admit. And Karl.... Yumyumyum.

The sad thing is by the time they're all my age, I'll be zimmering along with me dentures. Still, Johnny and Brad will always be my age, *sighs happily*

I mean, it's almost as irl they hardly know each other. wtf 111 And that can't be true. I know, it's all a PR cover-up, and as soon as someone (i.e. you) gives them a good shove, they will fall into each other's arms like the long-lost lovers we know them all to be.

*harrumphs*

Anyway, I don't care: authenticity or no, I just want them to be in the same fucking shot. And not separated by yards of others, as at NZ premiere. They can stand next to each other, snarling and growling with hate or indifference -- I can work with that.

Well, except that Dom, like, *gushed* over Karl when we talked about him last night. And I do mean gushed. Like a fangirl. Was cute as fuck.

If Orlando ages like his mother, he should be okay. If he takes after his father, though, well . . .

Yes, but do we *know* the father...???!!!

And good point about the mother!! I hadn't thought of that! Yes, am convinced by this argument! Hah.

(And this from the woman who found him "average". *cackles*)

Omfg.

Why do I not buy the tabloids more often?

Well. *cough* This does *not* augur well. The hair loss!!! Still, the nostrils aren't bad.

You, woman, are queen of research.

I feel a Mr Wainthropp/Orli's dad pairing coming on, but slashing the relatives of the celebs is really too way beyond even my dubious ethics.

Well, I think Orlando looks more like his mother anyway. He has her nose! Or had it, before he broke it. But he's quite lovely, and his bone structure is grand! He'll age well enough, and what nature doesn't bless, plastic surgery will. :)

That picture isn't so much bad as from the wrong angle; I feel like from where Johnny's standing, that's still one hot Mr. Bloom.

Um. Right. It's possible I get bitter and defensive when presented with the thought that Orlando might someday be other than fucking gorgeous. Perhaps I should work on that. It's not like I'm gettin' any younger myself...

Nothing like a hubster to present sobering thoughts to a feverish fangirl brain. Heh.

However, [livejournal.com profile] cherry_glitter has since pointed out to me that Orlando may well take after his mother -- in which case: hooray! Of course, who knows what the dad looks like these days...

And from where Johnny's standing, Mr Bloom will be hot for decades to come.... *grins*

Uhm, the spelling was close...

Do you mind if I gush for a moment? I didn't realize until I followed you over here that you wrote Up Shit Creek. I think that was the first Karl fic I read. I actually went and looked him up and that point, and wow, was I converted. This is still one of my favorite fics of all time! And now Karl, Billy, and Orlando are my OT3.

I also ended up reading your Dom/Billy/Orlando saga which I enjoyed very much. I started at the end, and didn't realize until I was coming back through that I had already read Rollercoaster. Didn't realize it was part of a bigger series. Love, love, loved it!

Don't know about Dom and Karl, but strangely enough, I found this one of Billy and Karl together just today. I want to know what the hell they're laughing at. And why just them?

http://www.fallen-embers.nu/riot/img/lotr00.jpg

Bet Karl is about to goose Peter or they're making fun of Orlando's stupid hair cut or something.

That picture of Karl and Billy was on my desktop the entire time I wrote Up Shit Creek; it is on the pics part of my site! I *heart* it! It helps so much if our Boys will just stand or crouch next to each other, even if it's only once (as Karl and Dom never have so far, grrr).

Now Karl/Billy/Orlando: I am majorly intrigued here. Who has written that? Who who who?

And thank you for your fb on Up Shit Creek and Perfect Day saga. *smooches* Heh, yes, the long-forgotten author names... I have them.

So we are quits, right? I got you onto Karl, and then you seem to have overtaken me and gone onto Demons and other goodies, and now I'm catching up what with my amazon order. Ah, the convolutions of fandom!

*sighs*

I don't remember actually reading any Karl/Orlando/Billy yet. I'm waiting. Patiently. But I'm pretty much satisfied with any variation of the three.

Just promise not to be mad at me if the movie gives you nightmares.

*cough* Or the other kind of dreams! *cough*

The other kinds of dream is most welcome.

Indeed, it is the only reason I bought this DVD.

Karl/Billorli. Let me finish all the various series I'm writing and the Karl/Dom I'm writing, and I'll get onto that one.

I didn't want to go OT on one of your other entries, so I came back here. Someone wrote me Karl/Orlando/Billy! I don't want to give anything away, but it's interesting. No graphic sex, but some nice smut anyway. Whee! I'm so excited!
