Well, fuck.

It appears that LJ will only let me post posts that are around drabble-length, but nothing longer than about 100 words! Same for the lists!!!!!!

Well, this is just too frustrating for words. I meant to finish writing the next fascicle of DP (after the one that's waiting in the wings to be posted) but now I am too frustrated and will go downstairs and cook nasi goreng instead.

could it be the way you formatted DP? if your post exceeds whatever limit lj has, it would tell you so. i don't know what to think.

I'm doing it exactly as I always do it. I tried breaking it up into shorter bits: it will let me post *two paragraphs* at a time. And LJ acting up does not explain why I cannot post it to the *lists*, either!!!!

Yes, but I would have to tell that person my password and I am loath to do that.

Do you think the internet is overloaded with 9-11 type messages? People talking to each other? Or am I going paranoid? I'll wait till tomorrow before I take drastic action. (Though what do I mean by 'drastic'? Axe my imac to death?) It's not just LJ, either: I cannot get it onto the yahoo lists, either, not by email and not by pasting it directly into a message.
