Did you get home all right, lazulus?? Thanks so much for everything!!

lazulus diagnosed my internet problem -- a fault with the actual cable, or one of the strands thereof (spiders lived in my cable box!). And she fixed me up with an emergency interim solution (a freeserve dial-up account!).

We also went to Grantchester and chatted f2f. I feel much cheered.

Ah, good news about finding the spiders. Er, source of the problem. Grantchester??? That's just down the road from me (how small the world is :-)
