I spent such a long time compiling my own nominations that it irks to see others just wham in the same ones over and over.

Still. We must all vote if only in order to prevent whacko!fics from getting the prize.

Ah, but. See, I'm not going to vote.

First, I'm not big on this entire popularity contest. And second, there is NO way I'm going to have enough time to read ALL the stories nominated, which means there is NO way I can vote fairly. And being against the entire popularity side of it, I'd feel bad voting just for my friends.

Plus, someone (unrelated to the people running the contest, mind you) made Kia drop out.

All in all, this makes me not want to take part, lol.

Or it could be PMS... hard to decide... lol

Hm. It had honestly not occurred to me to have to read all the fics. I see what you mean. These awards are getting more and more problematic. Because changing the rules half-way through *is* a problem. Because of course I don't have time to read all of the fics. I will have to rethink my strategy on this one.

See, and that where I don't care at all. I don't care for the awards. I don't care who gets the prize in this. Always thought the thingy badly done.

Sorry, but these awards sit wrong with me. And I'm not going to support something I don't believe in, even when it means a crappy author wins the prize.

Besides, I don't have the time to go through all stories, and the moment I vote for a friend who I know is good, or a story I've already read and therefore dismiss something on the sole basis of my lack of time, it becomes a popularity contest, an oldbie vs. newbie, established author vs. unknown kinda thing. (jesus fucking run-on sentence.)
No, just... no.

I'll stop bothering you with my issues now. I have feedback to write.
