Finished seeing Devdas last night, incl. extras. Went and got myself Asoka from Blockbuster just now, lured by the prospect of more Shahrukh. I don't like Kareena Kapoor, though. Blah.

Went and bought myself Arabian Nights today. Have already read 40 pages: am hooked as was King Shahrayar! I want total immersion in worlds akin to t'DP.

Went and bought myself a top to go with the high-heeled boots I bought last week and the sinfully expensive mini-skirt and trousers I was lured into buying yesterday when in Islington, lunching and celeb-spotting with [livejournal.com profile] lazulus.

Saw Spirited Away with t'kids and a friend and her kids, and dined at Dojo afterwards (*winks at [livejournal.com profile] calico). I liked Spirited Away.

Started to rearrange living room furniture but am now too tired so left it in half-way state with sofa jutting out into space.

Wrote some DP, inspired by AB.

Boggled at the fact that people are reading boring!Orli.

Had orgasm. Was a nice one.

ETA: Son predicted that in my new mini-skirt'n'high-heeled outfit "twenty-year old men" would waggle their eyebrows and go Hmmm-mmm. Son was wrong: *everyone* waggled their eyebrows and went Hmmm-mmm! Elderly ladies started up conversations, all types of men's necks swivelled, shop keepers fell over themselves wishing to chat and paying me sartorial compliments.

What have I missed out on all these years? There is clearly a Special World of Heels out there.

My feet, however, are somewhat sore.

See? You've been missing out! There is a reason I'll never go back to flats and gladly endure precarious tottering and sore feet until I am very very old. At some point, your feet do adapt and will feel funny wearing flat shoes.

Will I turn into a Barbie doll with permanently pointy toes?

Hmm. Perhaps I should have myself surgically removed from trainers. The thought frightens me, I admit. But am lured by the thought of twenty year old men, and to some degree, and in a different way, even the elderly ladies.

You are evidently also some sort of East Anglian muse. First boring!Orli 15, now an ode to the semi-colon.

*sinks into quagmire of boredom*

A Wainthropp and a muse! What things I'm learning about myself!

Actually, you're half right about the Wainthropp.

hehe

Yeah, but did you forget the windows were open and realize belatedly that some of your neighbors might well have been outdoors at the time?

not that I've ever done that, nuh uh, not me *blush*

Eeeeep!!! I've ensnared someone! I've cast the net of my Bollicons into the ether and someone fell in!

*trips over feet with excitement*

I have been looking for Bollywood slash for over a year, believe me. I have no idea why nobody iswriting it. Too third-worldy? An untapped source? I'm not on the right mailing lists? I do not know!

And Kabhi Kushi (spelling?)!! Yes! Scene where Shahrukh descends from helicopter! Pushes bracelet over Kajol's wrist! *implodes*

And Hritik!!

So? You gonna write me some????? *waves anklets and paints feet with henna*

And here I thought this was more in the line of boring!Lobelia post. Am so pleased it's cheerful, hadn't even realised! It is true that I am feeling much more robust and cheerful these days (crosses fingers), and it is interesting to me that this shone through even in such an inane post. :-) Thank you!

I think you should write a book about your boots: Come Heels or High Water: How Two Inches of Plastic Changed My Life.

Oh bloody hell, it's not fair. You are already gorgeous and stylish in picnic clothes, and now you go dress up.

Anyhow, heels are for the vertically challenged like myself, not for you statuesque-already types. :-P
