For those of you who took some interest in my teaching angst:
I've now taught the cool boys. Only 3 of them turned up plus the girl and the mature woman. It's not an easy group to manage. I think I did the best I could with them but the group dynamics are not automatic givens and it's going to be a struggle for the next few weeks. I want to take them to a cafe next week but they might think I'm making them pay an entrance fee to the seminar. And alas, I can't afford to buy them all coffee!
Well, that's all my ISP will allow me to post these days so: end of haikuish post.
ETA: The thing that didn't work, btw, was putting an lj-cut in the Header.

So if you would still like to be part of it, you would make a back-dated post, dated 1 October 2003 (just to co-ordinate everybody, no special significance to that date), and that would be your Demelza-birthday-post. Once your post is in place, I will post you a link. You will post that link in that post and say 'now go here'.
What it will look like from Demelza's end is like a treasure hunt with clues. She'll start out with my post which will say 'Happy birthday, this is a treasure hunt, blah blah, now go here'. The link will take her to one of the 1 October posts. And each post will have a link to another post.
Because I thought it up (heh), I get to go first. 'Please, miss, me! Me!'
Along the way, you can post other prezzies. So besides a link, your 1 October post can also have a story on it or a pic or fanart or whatever. Or just 'happy birthday'.
You can set up your posts *now*. You can edit them later and insert a fic or whatever. She won't find the post unless she's gone seriously insane and starts cruising people's calendar views. :-)
