My back hurts. I suspect this is from rearranging the living room furniture 2 weeks ago and from wearing hi-heels.

There is never any time to write LJ or DP. I am, however, indulging in masses of reading on semiotics. I found out all about the indexical nature of the big blobs in Pac-Man and other wonders. *has semiogasm*

There is also less inclination to write LJ -- a phenomenon yet to be investigated and bored on about by me.

I am hungry and need to eat Ryvita with cheddar, mayonnaise and gherkins.

One plumbing crisis succeeds the previous one in this house.

Am sorry you did your back in. Mine has been awful. I think it has finally given up the ghost and even the lightest of loads makes it ache for days. All that abuse I have heaped upon it over the years has borne fruit. However, I never moved anything whilst wearing high heels. ;)

Ryvita is hardly filling. I am making thai curry and tempura for blythely and sparcck. I ate too much cake yesterday, though. Was at a funeral and my friend Chris' auntie Betty is a fabulous cake maker. How could I say no?

Are you coming on the 18th? I have finally had a yes from everyone else including Cal, who has been sending me mad texts!

Be lovely to see you and hear all about how the teaching is going. Don't let the cool boys grind you down.

18th may be difficult. What time? Will let you know. Things are *busy*! There's a birthday party that day, and then it's t'son's b'day on the Monday and his party must also be arranged.

And alas, it's real fucking plumbing. Water coming out of places it shouldn't. No water coming out of places it should. And so fucking forth.

But the bathroom is painted!!! Do you want me to come and do yours????????

I feel for you re: plumbing. I recently had my boiler leaking horribly and ended up one morning with my kitchen flooded. Le sigh.

Am still hoping you can make 18th, but understand if not. If you do miss it, then we must arrange something for another day. I can travel!! Or you can just come down and we'll round up whoever is around that day. yes? I have been getting these mad txts from ukcalico which make me laugh. Honestly! Fancy thinking to txt me when she is in a scary gay bar!! Wonder why she thought of me? ;)

i feel the same way. i feel like i have nothing interesting or amusing to contribute. that said, i am in lj just as much as usual, i'm reading and replying and gaming, just not waxing lyrical about my real life.

i hope your back gets better soon. too much *cough* plumbing? heh. *high fives lazulus* you might want to get to a masseuse or a chiropractor if it doesn't in a week or so.

oh, i think you're spot on about the phases thing. some days i want to prattle on about every single detail about my so-called life, and other days nothing seems interesting enough to post about. i think it's a matter of self-perception.

Oh yes, absolutely. And with me it extends to reading as well, not just posting. Am not quite sure, though, why self-perception influences these things but it does.
