FIC: The Desert Prince 0 (series)
Aug. 4th, 2003 09:13 pmI must be insane to try and juggle two series in parallel, but hey.
This one's been at the back of my mind since last May when I first posted, in slightly different form than here, a teaser. Since then I've learned and lived, suffered and sighed, and I have now decided to post this AU as a WIP, no end date in sight, no pressure, no beta, just me trying to do this bunny justice.
It's a bunny that goes back to when I was 16 years old and basically dreamed the story of this fic. I have filled the cast up with Lotr actors (the Sean ben Bean character was called Oolong in my dream); I have invented other characters and added detail, plot and scenes; and I am left with the challenge of finding a satisfying ending because, as is so often the case, the dream had an ending of 'and then I woke up -- too fucking early, bugger it all'.
Then the bunny was revived when my curly Orli-lust returned.
Anyway, I hope some of you enjoy some of it.
