Some fics I have enjoyed reading recently:
beccaming,
KinderreimGorgeously beautiful. Shifts of style that make beautiful flowing sense. On growing up, nostalgia for times gone forever, the difficulties of engaging. Dom/Orli.
L.M. Griffin aka
norringtonsez,
Men of Our WordsGlorious Commodore Norrington/Jack Sparrow fic. Heaps of spelling errors but great dialogue and, for me, an example of slash at its purest. Wonderful instance of how fps can weave in and out of canon and how to make two completely convincing canon-characters get to a slashy point without losing credibility. Delicious!
Updated, betaed version
here.
sheldrake,
BloodHow to take a vampire and put him in a bookstore and make the whole thing not only believable but also pastichy and po-mo
andpathetically sad all at the same time. AU at its finest. Dom/Elijah/origchars. (And I swear this bookshop is in Ipswich.)
sheldrake,
Artifical FictionA default-icon ficlet. Origfic that kept me rivetted and laughing so hard I choked on my celeriac. Strangely sueish as well.
cupiscent,
The AnswerIntelligent celebration on Mary Sue -- and when have you ever read a
celebration of Mary Sue? What's more, it's Slashy Sue as well, so doubly yummy but also awful, just like the best Mary Sue. Dom/Orli/Keira. Het'n'mix.

A Lonely Impulse of Delight, Part 8Ah, if you have not cottoned onto this wonderful
Memphis Belle WIP yet, this is the time. I just sigh with the first-time, innocent loveliness of it all. Slow and real and something to look forward to.
