I read this last night and I absolutely adore it. It is gorgeous. The prose is terse and no nonsense; the dialogue heartachingly understated and perfectly timed; the sex erotic, hot and sexy -- god!; and the emotional dynamic between the two main guys delicious and delightful. Slash at its glorious slashiest.
And, to reprise an earlier discussion on slash vs gay writing, this is definitely slash. The word 'gay' is not mentioned once. In fact, one of the delights in reading was to see how it was avoided:
"I like men," he said.
"You--"
"My recent history notwithstanding," Draco said. "I'm. I prefer men."
See what I mean? The very notion of 'preferring', of having tried the other and 'preferring' men, is essential slash.
