I have seen Brokeback Mountain
Jan. 7th, 2006 08:53 pmI feel sad but I liked it. I give it 7/10.
( Here's why )
I thought a lot about spoiler issues vis-à-vis this post. Some of my Flist readers are very sensitive to spoilers, I know, and sometimes I, too, do not want to know that the butler did it, and that he did it with the drinks waiter. I do, however, like getting recs. People seldom put recs behind a cut, unless they're giving a plot summary. I figure saying to what extent I liked the film is like posting a rec. It is saying something about me, not something about the film.
Also, I would have appreciated a non-gushing post about this film before I went to see it.
So I hope that's okay and please don't go ARGH A SPOILER because there isn't one here. Warning, though: Behind the cut, there are plenty of spoilers, both for Ang Lee's film and for Annie Proulx's origfic.
Forgive my rambling. Am feeling a bit melancholy tonight. *smooches you all*
