I am starting to think that I may need a special ameripicking beta for the John/wraith fic. My question about 'nonsense' brought up such a variety of suggestions! Thank you everyone! And made me realise how my hold on American-English usage, and American-English usage as pertaining to John Sheppard is perhaps more tenuous than I realised.

I have another two questions:

What word would an American (John Sheppard) use for masturbating?

And what word would an American (John) use for semen? I've got spunk there at the moment but do Americans use the word 'spunk' in that way?
