vintage spectacles

Today, I drove to St Alban's in Hertfordshire and bought myself a new pair of vintage 1980s eyeglasses with tiny oval lenses framed by copper-coloured metal, from a fabulous optician's shop called ( Read more... )
My new Brille:

It is being delivered to me within the next ten days! Not only will I look fabulous again but I will also be able to see again. For the first time in my life (I've worn glasses since age 7), I'll be using varifocals. How exciting! Although I hear that one needs to allocate about 2 weeks to get used to them. And as the lenses I chose are tiny, this may pose problems. But these glasses were me!
