my birthday so far

badgermonkey!!!! I got a real-life actual present, a tangible thing with wrapping paper and a card and everything! And it's a Hetty Wainthropp novel!! Eeeeeep! (T'h said, open this one first, and I said, hm, in front of the children? But it turned out to be perfectly innocuous except for the manic laughter on my part and the 'she's gone mad' looks on the part of my family...) And thank you also for your txt!!
And thank you,pecos! I know it wasn't intended to be a birthday present but it arrived just in time, and again, with the paper and the card.
I feel touched and loved now.
Mysteriously, turning 41 appears to have shrunk me widthway. In a concerted plan to offset the gettin'-older blues before they had time to bud, I planned to wear a new outfit today (one of many which I bought in a kind of shopping trance/frenzy last Friday). But the swirly corduroy mini-skirt meant to display my legs above my hi-heels is suddenly miles too wide. I am superstitious about exchanging it: what if I return to normal width by tomorrow??
Well, I will have to wear my new stretch corduroy beige jeans instead and show off my bottom to advantage when encountering EB today. omg 111
Also, before getting up and while h was rustling about pleasantly with cake and prezzies downstairs, I managed to fit in two fantasies, both shamelessly Mary Sue and both with people I actually know and not actors on the silver screen. (liek ??) It seems the older I get the more *** I want to have. (And I bet you never thought you'd see the day when coyness appeared in my LiveJournal -- bwuahhha.)

But by then I'm not teaching them any longer so crushiness = pointless. Also, I have to say, this is the *first* time I have ever succumbed like this before knowing a student's class mark. And you know, if he bombs out and writes me some crap, I'm not sure I'll be able to sustain the crush, I'm afraid.
The head is the best place for sex. What else would a seasoned slash writer be saying? Anything else is research.
