Today I flipped through Empire magazine at Sainsbury's:

Paris will be nude! Achilles will be nude!
Nothing was said about Hector being nude, but here's hoping!!!

Marton Csokas is also in Ridley Scott's Crusaders film! Along with Orlando!

i read the iliad last year and was ridiculed by wankers. i'm sure you can find a short summary somewhere. or you can just wait for the movie to come out. i mean, loads of people enjoyed LOTR without reading the books, so ...

I thought the wanking was because of the spoiler cuts?

And, no, I know what happens. I know the story well. I just haven't read the book, and so I miss little inside things that people tend to know when they've devoted their time and energy to studying it. I read LotR right before FotR was released. Maybe I'll get around to doing the same for Troy. Who knows.

Oh yes, don't I remember that!!!! *snorts* Yes: slashing can be done without the benefit of any research whatsoever. But: learning about the Iliad can be done (I found) by reading children's summaries. :-)
