I think using things like that make writing look incredibly amateurish, myself. Stick to names.

Yes, but that is the point! This is a spoof! That's why I wrote: read and rofl.

And because it's a very good spoof (I think, anyway), it holds up a mirror to what we actually do, and I have certainly been guilty of not a few of these... *g*

Hah, maybe I should go and write a fic now that dispenses with proper names altogether and exclusively deals in older man / younger man, and possibly that should be applied to Dom and Orli who are, after all, all of 3 weeks apart in birth date... heh.

I don't know. Maybe Trianne didn't intend this as a spoof but that's how I read it. And fics (or 'Guides') can often mean things their authors didn't intend. That's what I love about writing.
