It has been so much fun airing my responses to Genette and hearing everyone else's responses to the show-not-tell controversy! *loves it, and hops up and down*

Question: what's this gay marriage thing that people are getting upset about in posts? Is there some important bit of news I have been missing out on? (I read hardly any newspapers these days. Their reporting of the Iraq war turned me off completely. Nor can I bear televised so-called 'news'. The only thing I can cope with is radio.)

Ned Kelly!!

I have it downstairs! I got it out from Blockbuster! T'h is ecstatic! I am ecstatic! T'children are in bed! Good-bye, everyone! I have a double date!!!!

I've collected a couple of links regarding the gay marriage thing. If you mean the discussion in fandom. I'd read the post of [livejournal.com profile] wayfairer first.

And Ned Kelly: I am insanely jealous.

I think San Fransisco ruled gay marriage either legal or not illegal, anyway, and began issuing marriage licenses to same-sex couples a week ago. They've had something like 3000 same sex couple marry in about three days. (But it's not politically popular, though.)

When I saw Ned Kelly was out on DVD I immediately thought you'd be pleased!

Re: show not tell - I have thoughts, but maybe I should show you, not tell you...

Thanks for the link to the real world! What a hoot of a story.

*tries to get exercised about the issue*

I loved Ned Kelly, I didn't think that I would, but I did. And Orlando is good in it, isn't he? I was quite surprised by that.

I loved the landscape and I liked Orlando but I didn't like the film.
