Troy ratings in UK are very stupid. 12 A would be great: I could take the boys. 15 is mega-dumb because I lose my alibi for seeing it. And what with reviews I have seen online being mixed, to put it kindly, I'm in two minds whether to go at all. I may have to wait for the DVD.

Well, total ignorance of canon always makes for a more liberated slashing experience! Hey ho.

I'll see whether my desire to see it eclipses my desire to see Gael Garcia Bernal in the new Almodovar film or that Brazilian film about the bus hijack or that fun-looking gay-boy film coming up at my local Gay and Lesbian Film Festival or even HP at Azkaban (shock!!!!) for at least I can take the children to that.

So what in fuck's name makes Troy so amazingly 15-worthy???? Do you get to see dicks???

I'm really not sure I can be bothered to see Troy at all. I'm looking forward to the Almodovar film though. And I have a strange hankering to see 'The Day After Tomorrow' because I rather like disaster films.

What was RotK rated there?I've been thinking about this. There's no male frontal nudity but the odd female breast and several shots of backsides.

The violence has theodd spear through the head and arrows andswords, but no worse than Osgiliath (perhaps because the violence is human/human rather than human/orc it's harder to disassociate from it?)

Personally, I really liked it even if at moments I was rolling my eyes. Oh, and while the music was very nice at the beginning it just got overdone by the end.

Rotk was 12 A. They knew they weren't going to make enough money if they kept the kiddies away, what with all the toy marketing. And they had no blood: did Troy have blood? If blood, the ratings go up.

And you liked it. Well, quite a few people did but reviews were *mixed* and I'm thinking, if it's 15 and I can't take t'h because he'll snorfle and because I'm sceptical of Mr Petersen's abilities and if I don't get 100 percent enthusiasm on my Flist -- well, maybe it's not an urgent film to see.

Do you get to see dicks???

UNFORTUNATELY NOT! But you get to see more of naked Orliness than ever before, and that's the only reason why I will be going to see this film a second time.

Aha! Do you get to see even more of his bum than you do in Midsomer Murders?

Alas, no. Had forgotten about Midsomer Murders because I've never actually watched that. But at least there are the curls that launched a thousand ships. And given the poor script Orli didn't such a bad job, even the frown of doom has its justification here.

Go see it, sweetie. Brad doesn't ruin it. It's not the Iliad but it's interesting. Men in skirts, oh yeah. Eric Bana being the complete good guy and very pretty too. Tons of Orli curls. Sean Bean as the voice of reason. It all says much more about the modern world than about homeric greece, but that's good too.

I like Brad. Brad would be incentive. But god, I'd forgotten about the Curls! You're right! I have to see THE CURLS.

I'll be absolutely debauched and go one day during the day. omg
