I have just learned a new word from my Bollywood community. This is jodi (Hindi, I presume) and it means pair or match, and it's used (among other things, I assume) for talking about one's favourite couplings of actors, e.g. Shahrukh Khan / Kajol.

This is simply a Hindi word for pairing!

I will never write Pairing in a Header again. I will forthwith write 'Jodi'. (And be reviled by all and sundry for orientalising pretentiousness. Bwuahah.)

In other news, the guinea pigs are keeping the drama at a high pitch in the Sackville-Baggins household. I rather enjoy looking after them and cleaning their hutch (!) and observing them, and I built them a huge run in the garden. It turns out I am a rubbish run builder as today the pigs escaped into the bushes. The little Sackvilles and I spent half an hour tramping through foliage. I have now incarcerated them again and must build a new run tomorrow.

I have almost finished all my marking, whee! There were even a few Firsts in there, and I do like me a good First.

There are also some spooky news about my vagina but I will reserve those for a locked post and for when I have the nerve to write about it.

Heh. Only partially successful. I didn't get the pretentiousness, mainly because I didn't get the fake language. And certainly not the literary allusion...

But then am so shallow as did not read Iliad till aged 40.

I had a lovely time in London! And things in Ipswich are fine, considering the council was lost to No Overall Control in the election. Does this mean anarchy, I wonder? If not, it should.
