author treasure nr. 3

demelzagirl's turn:
I like Demelza's fics because they are like a breeze of fresh and tangy air. I like their crisp prose and their sharp dialogue, their completely believable characters, the realism of their details, and their wry humour. I also like the way almost every story has some kinky twist in it. But best of all, I like the way Demelza is always moving on and ready to try out new things, from inanimate-object slash and fluffy mush to girlsmut, poetry pastiche and serious dark depths. And nobody writes British beer-swilling boys quite as convincingly as Demelza does, although I cannot believe that the real-life actors could come up with even one-third of her wit, *g*.
Demelza's fics have inspired me to look all about me for ideas and to believe that one can write anything, anything at all, if one wants to. They have been a liberating force for me, simply by existing in all their madness and wonderfulness.
I could go on but I want to keep these short and manageable, *g*.
